What shopping is here
A fishing village that sells hats
Guests who picture Florida shopping as a food-court mall have the wrong island. Madeira’s “mall” is John’s Pass Village — a boardwalk of independent shops along the inlet, boats on one side and Gulf Boulevard on the other. You browse in flip-flops. You come home with sunglasses, a sun shirt, and something unnecessary made of shells.
That is the point. Pack light. Buy the beach stuff here.

The outing
John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk
Not Orlando. Not an atrium. The actual pass-side village — wooden decks, marina air, and shops that turn over souvenirs, jewelry, art, and resort wear.
Evening on the boards
Best as a wander after a waterfront dinner. The village lights up, the heat drops, and the pass is still moving boats under the bridge.
Art, candy, odds
A few galleries, fudge and taffy, and the kind of shop you only enter on vacation. Parking is easier before 11 and after 7.
Why it’s next to the boats
The village exists because of the Pass. Charter offices, bait, and T-shirt shops share the same boards. Combine shopping with a dolphin cruise.
Two to five minutes
Gulf Boulevard beach stores
Boogie boards, sunscreen, a second towel, water shoes, a cheap umbrella. These shops exist so you do not check a bag of beach toys. Prices are vacation prices. Pay them once and stop thinking about it.

Travel light
The condo already covers the household
Leave at home
Beach toys, extra towels, a blender, a lamp, a full spice kit. 320H is a real condo with a kitchen, washer/dryer, and the boring things you would otherwise overpack.
Bring
Clothes you like, prescription anything, and the book you’ll ignore. Confirm beach towels in your check-in note. Buy the sun shirt at the Pass if you forget it.
Walk vs drive
The Village is a long, hot walk with shopping bags. Drive six minutes, park once, and wander. Walking the beach south and ridesharing back is the pleasant version of the same idea.
What this is not
This is not a luxury shopping destination and it is not an indoor mall. If your week requires a department store, that’s a different vacation. Most 320H guests never miss it.
Only if you must
Target, outlets, and the long outing
Tyrone Square / inland retail is 20–25 minutes when someone needs a phone charger, kids’ clothes, or a grocery run beyond Publix. Outlets are farther. A downtown mall is a different county and a wasted Gulf afternoon.

The Yacht Club, the beach, and John’s Pass are the week. If you find yourself researching mall hours, go sit on the dock instead.
